CA-FEN connects educators, families, and organizations through statewide programs and networks.

California County Office of Education (COE) FACE Network

Supports COE staff building sustainable family engagement practices statewide


Purpose: Create a welcoming space to build relationships and share resources
Audience: All COE staff working in family engagement


Shared commitment: Come when you can, share what you have, ask before starting new initiatives

Pre-Service & Induction Programs

  • Surveys focus on inclusion of family engagement in California-based teacher preparation and induction programs

  • Tracks awareness of CSTPs, implementation efforts, obstacles, and current practices

  • Upcoming surveys:

    • 2026 Teacher Preparation Program / Family Engagement Survey

    • Induction Program / Family Engagement Survey (summer 2026)

  • Participation in surveys grants automatic invitations to events discussing results in late 2026/early 2027
