COMMITMENT STATEMENT & LEVELS OF COMMITMENT

My organization understands that joining CAFEN means contributing time and expertise. As a member, I commit to:

✔ Support CAFEN’s mission;
✔ Designate a representative to attend and participate in monthly meetings
✔ Provide input to plans or projects
✔ Provide my logo and contact information to be listed as a CAFEN member
✔ Promote CAFEN through my networks and communications

 

Levels of Commitment

The California Family Engagement Network offers three levels of membership: Planning Team, Support Team, and Friends. The roles and responsibilities of each level are outlined below to help you decide which level best suits your organization's capacity and
needs: 

• Planning Team: Members of the planning team co-lead the network and are responsible for planning and facilitating monthly meetings. They also play a key role in fundraising and/or implementing the action plan approved by the members. Planning team members collaborate as needed to coordinate the work and vote to approve plans and make decisions that affect the day-to-day work of the network. The current planning team members are: 

  • delibrainy, LLC

  • Families in Schools

  • Loken Foundation for Equity & Inclusion

  • Parent Organization Network

  • Parents for Public Schools, San Francisco

 

Planning team members may receive stipends or subcontracts based on the funding raised and the projects they lead. 

 

• Support Team: Members of the support team consistently attend and participate in monthly meetings. They integrate network priorities into their own work whenever possible and contribute information, donations, connections to their network, or additional time for specific actions or projects. Support team members also vote to approve plans.

• Friends: Friends stay informed and participate in monthly meetings but may not be able to participate fully due to capacity or organizational structure. They provide input but do not have voting privileges.
